This Saturday – August,3 will be the 17th Day of celebration of the Nevyansk Inclined tower. It will be a big festival dedicated to the unique architectural and historical object – the Inclined tower of the Demidovs – the oldest and the most powerful dynasty in Russia during several centuries. The tower is the official symbol of the city. It was built in the years 1721-1725 and became a symbol of the city and a real masterpiece in the Ural. The name of the architect-Builder is unknown. The base is 9.5 by 9.5 meters square, the height is 57.5 meters, the deviation from the vertical at the top is 1.86 meters to the South-West, the thickness of the walls at the bottom reaches 2 meters, and at the top – up to 32 cm. Unlike the leaning tower of Pisa, Nevyanskaya Inlined tower doesn’t fall – the top floor and the spire are completely vertical. It was built like this in a purpose.

Every year the day of celebration of the Nevyanskaya Tower is visited by more than 12,000 tourists. Tourists from different cities such as Moscow, Perm, Simferopol, Pervouralsk, Yekaterinburg, Magnitogorsk, Berezovsk, Miass, Perm, Severouralsk, Kazan, Novouralsk, Astrakhan, Kurgan, Norilsk and many other cities of Russia, as well as foreign tourists from China, Germany, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Czech Republic and so on, visit Nevaynask to enjoy the beauty of the tower and participate in the festival.

This festival is very special! The Inclined tower itself sets the atmosphere of dignity, aristocracy and uniqueness of the place. The Museum staff make a lot of efforts for a worthy presentation of the Inclined miracle: games and master classes, quest and excursions, and etc. All day, on the territory of historical-architectural complex will be the vivid Museum events: event “Gifts of the Nevyansk Museum” honoring donors, thanks to which every year replenish the funds of the Museum, historical and interactive programs for all ages, “Nev fair” where artisans demonstrate their skills, share their secrets and sell their unique products.
The main theme of the day of the tower 2019 will thematically reflect the 85th anniversary of the Sverdlovsk region – the largest industrial and cultural region of our country.

The culmination of the holiday 2019 will be a laser show and a firework! And also there will be a music concert! Lots of fun!
