Yeltsin Center in Ekaterinburg

6 May, 2017 Yeltsin Center became the best European Museum of the Year.

The museum of the first Russian President Boris Yeltsin was choosen from more than 46 museums of 24 European countries. It is a very high nomination in the world and for this new-opened museum it is a really great award.

The Yeltsin Center was opened in 2015 in Ekaterinburg, Russia. If you want to travel to Russia, we really recommend you to visit this beautiful city and go to the Yeltsin Center. It is very easy to find this place. You should go to the Square of 1905 Year ( you can easily take a subway to the station the Square 1905 Year) and than go to the Kominterna, 16 (you should go along the Iset river and enjoy the view of the city especially duting summer time. You will pass the Drama theater, the Hyatt hotel and next to the monument of the 1st Russian President you can see the Yeltsin Center). 

Yeltsin center is not only the museum of contemporary political history, but also educational and cultural center. In the museum you can visit 7 zones and will learm Russian history from the World War I, World War II, Perestroika, from the criminal 90-s till the 2000.

The great news is that here you can take an English audio-guide! It is very convinient!

Also this center is famous because it is colorful design, interesting multimedia, unique seminars and lectures, a very interesting main exhibition and temporary exhibitions. In this center you can visit an art gallery, a conference hall and a research center. Here you also can find a book store and other shops where you can buy some souvenirs and you can go to the restaurant and try a real Russian food.
Be ready that you will spend here about 3 hours and more!
